FMF PEDAL TO THE METAL Award

The PEDAL to the METAL award is our most coveted and elite award amongst all amateur riders. The idea is simple. We tally up the overall average of all of your motos, and the lowest overall average takes home the coveted award. You must race both Saturday and Sunday to be eligible for this award, and race two classes each day. In the event of a tie, the winner will be decided by the amount of motos raced. If that happens to be the same, then we will review the amount of entries per class. The winner leaves with Good luck!

Race Tech “Ride to the Occasion” Award -

The Race Tech Ride to the Occasion award will award one lucky rider with Free Suspension for a year from RaceTech. This award will be given to one rider who our team of experienced judges feel overcame adversity in some way throughout the weekend.

Shift MX Factory Fitted Award

Designed with the grassroots amateur motocross community in mind, allow me to present to you the Shift MX Factory Fitted Award. After carefully reviewing the race weekend with our panel of experienced judges, we will select one deserving rider to be presented this award. We will consider overall personality, riding ability, professionalism, and of course race results. The lucky individual that wins this award will be granted a year’s worth of gear from Shift MX, exhausts from FMF, suspension from RaceTech, and motor work from RaceTech. So in essence, we plan to factory fit one rider for a year. This way they can focus on their race career, rather than the burden of expenses. For many riders, support as an amateur could be the difference between making a career out of this sport or not.

  • This is an AMA Featured Event - this event requires a transponder for racing Saturday and Sunday

The MYLAPS transponder will be used to score The Evergood Open. Each racer will need a transponder. Transponders will be available for racers to rent at the event only. To rent a transponder for the event, you may use cash, Visa, or Master Card. No checks will be accepted. There will be enough rental transponders at the track for each racer to rent. Transponders will not be available to rent online in advance for the event.

Renting a transponder:

A racer only needs one transponder no matter how many classes the racer is in. Transponders can not be shared between racers. Each time your transponder passes over the finish line, the scoring software will know exactly who you are, what position you are in, and what your lap time is.

Each transponder requires the racer to leave $130 for a cash transaction. When the transponder is returned at the end of racing you will receive $100 back. If you use a credit card, your card will be charged $40 up front. If you do not return the transponder at the end of the event you will then be charged an additional $100. The rental transponder must be returned at the event. eScore will be open at the same time as registration starts each day of signup for transponders to be rented. We will close the lap times kiosk and windows 1 hour after racing each day. If you want your lap times or wish to return you transponder please do so within these times.

Purchasing a transponder:

eScore will have a limited number of transponders available for purchase at the event for $130 cash and $140 credit.

Lap times:

Lap times will be free for any racer who rented a transponder. If you own your own transponder you must pay $10 for lap times. There will be a touch screen kiosk at the eScore trailer that you can enter your transponder number into. The computer will search our system and print the lap times for that transponder number as well as any other transponder that was on the track at that time. For practice you will get the lap times for your transponder as well as every one else that was in the practice group you were in. If your practice was split into groups you will only get the group you were on the track for. For racing you will get every class you are signed up for. If there was more than one division you will want to wait for all divisions to be complete so you get the times for all of them. The kiosk will only print each sheet one time. If some one else enters your transponder number you will not be able to print your times again. Knowing this please do not enter any one else's number or try to guess your own number as you may accidentally cause problems for some one else.

South of the Border not only looks out for the fastest riders in the country, but they also look for riders with good personalities to fill their facility. At the end of the day, we all started riding for one reason: fun. So, South of the Border has given us the opportunity to choose one rider that we feel is truly racing for all the right reasons and award them with a free month of training at South of the Border. Way to spread positivity SOB!

FMF On the Verge Award

Sometimes the end results don’t express how well a rider rode. We all know that. That’s why FMF has given us the opportunity to award one rider who we feel exhibited power and potential, just may not have put in the results. This rider will be awarded one brand new FMF exhaust!
