I got my first dirt bike when I was 11 years old. My stepdad hunted down a 1986 yz 80, and before I knew it I was the kid ripping the cow paths in the pasture behind my house. I began racing when I was 13 and realized pretty quick I wasn't going pro although that time frame was the most fun ive had on two wheels with the best of friends travelling and racing dirt bikes. After high school,  picked up and moved to Phoenix AZ where I went to MMI as I wanted to be a pro SX/MX Mechanic. After MMI,  worked in the industry for a short time and the money just wasn't there.. time to get a real job so I moved back to Iowa and currently working in the  Precision Ag industry.  I knew I wanted to be around the sport still, it was all I could think about.  

 

Oak Ridge MX started as a dream in 2011. With a few hiccups, not giving up and finally gaining a permit to operate we broke ground on this hilly 60 acres in July 2013. Oak Ridge  was not built by 1 person, this place was built by family, friends, complete strangers, and some of the best people ive come to know.  Its been a ride to say the least and we are excited for what the future has in store for us! 

 

Our goal here at ORMX is to provide a facility that  speaks to motocross endeavors, fans and riders. ORMX is nestled in the rolling hills of Tama County, Iowa. This facility accommodates all skill levels and includes a large track for 50cc to 450cc and 2 small tracks for pit bike riding. Plans include more parking, grading in the pits, water stations for camping and more infrastructure improvement's. We aim to please! 

 

ORMX has hosted Loretta Lynn Qualifiers, AMA  Featured Events,  Pro AMs, Evergood Open, Vurb Classics, Motocross Leagues of America,  Best of the Midwest and of course the RUMBLE. Guests have included Jason Anderson, Josh Hansen, Jeff Emig, Dean Wilson, Christain Craig, and some new surprises for 2022.   Stay Tuned!
